Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the NefoWave mobile application (“NefoWave”, “the App”) handles information when you use it. NefoWave is a private, offline kitchen notebook: your notebook content stays on your device. There is no account sign-in and no delete-account feature. Separately, if you allow tracking, limited advertising identifiers may be used only to measure marketing attribution. Please read this policy carefully.
1. Who we are
NefoWave is provided by the publisher of the App under the NefoWave name (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions, email us at morenoedson10@yahoo.com.
2. What NefoWave does
NefoWave helps you keep a personal cooking notebook on your iPhone or iPad, including:
- Botanica — notes about herbs and spices (origin, harvest, grind, aroma, pairings, storage, tasting notes, ratings, study pins, bookmarks, optional photos and short voice memos)
- Mix Lab — homemade blend recipes with ingredients and steps, batch scaling, and “Made it” history
- Cupboard — stock amounts, storage spots, purchase and best-by dates, low-stock alerts, and a restock list
- Desk — reference guides, a quick scaler, library export, starter-sample restore, erase-all, lock / reset notebook, About, and this legal information
3. Data we process — and where it stays
Library content you create. Entries, mixes, cupboard items, notes, ratings, bookmarks, study pins, make-logs, and similar notebook content are stored locally on your device (for example in the App’s private document storage). Notebook library content is not cloud-synced as an online notebook. NefoWave does not require an account to use the notebook.
Photos and voice memos. If you choose to add a picture to a Botanica entry, you may take a photo with the camera or pick one from your photo library. With your permission, the App copies a resized image into local app storage so it can show inside the entry. If you record a short voice memo, the audio file stays in local app storage. We do not upload these media files to NefoWave notebook servers.
Permissions. Camera, Photos, and Microphone access are requested only when you use those features. You can deny permission; the rest of the App continues to work without photos or voice memos. If you later change your mind, you can enable access in iOS Settings.
App Tracking Transparency (optional). iOS may show a system prompt asking whether NefoWave can use the device’s advertising identifier. If you choose Allow, we use that identifier only to measure which advertisements brought you to the App and to improve marketing attribution. If you choose Ask App Not to Track, the notebook continues to work; we do not use the advertising identifier for that cross-app tracking purpose. Your Botanica, Mix Lab, and Cupboard content is not used to build advertising profiles or for tracking.
Sharing. If you use Share to export a Botanica note or Mix Lab recipe as text, the share sheet is controlled by Apple and the destination you pick (Messages, Mail, Files, and so on). We do not receive a copy of that share through a NefoWave notebook backend.
Legal pages. Opening Privacy Policy or Terms of Use in Desk loads those documents for reading. Ordinary network data needed to fetch the page (such as IP address) may be processed by your device and network providers. Your Botanica, Mix Lab, and Cupboard notebook content is not uploaded when you only open these pages.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your Botanica, Mix Lab, or Cupboard content for advertising profiles or tracking.
- We do not claim that NefoWave automatically backs up your notebook to our cloud.
- We do not use the advertising identifier for tracking unless you allow it in the system prompt.
5. Apple platforms and third parties
The App runs on Apple’s iOS/iPadOS. Apple may process certain technical data under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy as part of installing apps, system services, photo or camera frameworks, the microphone, App Tracking Transparency, and the share sheet.
When you allow tracking, advertising and attribution partners may receive the advertising identifier and related attribution signals so we can measure campaign performance. Those partners process data under their own policies. Notebook text, photos, and voice memos are not sent to them for that purpose.
6. Children
NefoWave is a general cooking notebook and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). Do not submit personal information of children through support channels if you are not their parent or guardian.
7. Retention and deletion
Local notebook data remains on your device until you edit or delete individual entries, use Desk’s erase-all option, use Desk → Notebook → Reset Notebook, or remove the App. From Desk → Notebook you can lock the notebook (return to the start screen; notebook data on the device is kept) or reset the notebook (notebook data on this device is erased, then you return to the start screen). These controls manage local notebook data only. Uninstalling NefoWave removes the App’s local sandbox data under normal iOS behaviour. We cannot restore content that existed only on a device after it has been erased or the App removed. You can change tracking permission anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
8. International use
Because notebook data stays on your device, cross-border transfer of that notebook content by us does not occur as part of ordinary notebook use. Attribution signals (if you allow tracking) may be processed by advertising partners where they operate. If you email us at morenoedson10@yahoo.com, that correspondence may be processed where we operate support.
9. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect product changes or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
